Water Distribution & Wastewater Collections

The Town of Granite Falls owns and maintains 70 miles of water distribution lines and 52 miles of wastewater collection lines. The water distribution and wastewater collection crew are all state certified in their respective fields. The water distribution crew repairs main line breaks and installs and repairs service taps for drinking water and irrigation purposes. The water distribution system distributes potable water from the Town's Water Treatment Facility and the Town's three water storage tanks.

The wastewater collection crew maintains the Town's wastewater collection system and 19 wastewater pump stations as they convey wastewater to be treated at the Town's Wastewater Treatment Facility. The wastewater collection crew repairs line breaks and installs and repairs service taps for wastewater collection. The wastewater crew maintains the collection system by flushing a minimum of five miles of wastewater lines annually with a jetting machine. The Town also performs root control measures and uses a state of the art camera system to verify system conditions and system integrity.
