Lakeside Park
In 2006, the Town of Granite Falls purchased 72 acres of property and developed Lakeside Park on scenic Lake Rhodhiss. Lakeside Park protects the Town's public water supply (located just downstream from this property) and provides recreational opportunities for the citizens of Granite Falls.
The Lakeside Park features numerous trails for walking/hiking and mountain biking. The clearly marked trails are interspersed with opportunities to enjoy the water front views, have a picnic or do a little fishing.

The park features an ADA accessible fishing deck and a binocular viewing scope.
The picnic shelter is available for birthday parties, family gatherings or just relaxing by the lake and enjoying the scenery and wildlife. Reservations for the picnic shelter can be made at the Shuford Recreation Center by completing a rental agreement and paying the applicable rental fee. If the picnic shelter is not reserved, it is available on a first-come, first-serve basis. Bathroom facilities are also available.
